Star was wandering the boardwalk as usual. She had Laddie with her so the Boy wouldn't have to worry about the Boys David,Dwayne,Paul,Marko while they made trouble in the boardwalk. Laddie saw a cotton candy stand that caught his eye. He slipped away from Star and went to go get some cotton candy. When he turned back to follow Star again, she was gone from sight.

He wandered around looking for Star or the Boys but couldn't find anyone. Normally, he would be fine, but he did start to panic when he could see or hear Star or the boys at all. He ran around the boardwalk, eventually running face first into Damian.
