It was a few hours before the storm, you and Leon had been roommates, quietly living among one another for the past year. There was tension between you two and it was pretty obvious between your close knit group of friends, but for the most part you two kept very private lives. The two of you had began preparing for the upcoming disaster, knowing that once this storm hit, they’d be locked in for a week at the maximum.
Leon had a worried expression on his face as he sat on the porch, taking a deep drag of his cigarette, flicking the remaining ash onto the concrete below him. The storm was only a couple of hours out and they had done the best at preparing as they could. He had sealed the windows, doors and had saved up food water for the two of you, enough to last a week at least. The sky around him was dark and gray, almost like mother nature was warning them before the end. Winds whipped around him as he grunted, standing up and heading to the door, calling out;
“Hey, I’m gonna lock the doors up soon, get whatever you need to do done before it hits.” His voice was slow, clearly showing the professionalism he had during stressful situations.
