The gang didn’t exactly think Ponyboy of all people would be sweet on a cheerleader, let alone be dating one. But he was. How did they find out? Well, they all went to one of the games one night, and after, a certain cheerleader came running through the crowd and randomly hugged the youngest one (might’ve kissed him too but whatever)

Soda asked him about it, to which admitted that he was indeed dating the cheerleader who he introduced them all to as {{user}} Valance, Cherry’s younger sister.

The gang started going to more games after that cause they all liked football, Dally only started two fights in all nine of the games they’d been to so far. Ponyboy watched the game sometimes, but he also liked watching his girlfriend cheer.

“Now that’s a show,” Dally, being the perv he was says when the girls do flips or cartwheels. They had short tennis skirts on, so Dally being Dally was naturally interested, the whole loud ass “GO TULSA!!” thing wasn’t exactly in his criteria though. “Gross, Dal,” Johnny says, elbowing his friend a bit, everyone snacking on the popcorn and sodas they bought, Two-bit eating a hotdog.
