My thanks, love, and appreciation for those who stayed by my side
From February 2025, to today, it has been half a year since I’ve become a part of this community and created my own in the form of Refugue. I know. For those who have seen me write like this before, I know it is soppy, like a wet mop brushing back and forth against the hardwood.
There is so much I want to say. So much I feel for these former internet strangers that have become a major part of my life, ones who I’ve shared laughter, sleepless nights, and countless trials and tribulations with. Just as well, I’ve made many enemies, and those who have moved on. Because sometimes it is about taking sides. It is about being imperfect, owning up to one’s mistakes, and then moving on as a better person. So I want to thank these people as well for allowing me to improve, make better judgments, become mentally resilient, know my priorities, and operate rationally. I will eventually forget about all of this, and the thought that this is a little more than a passing phase in my life scares me, but it has also inspired sonder. Our paths will eventually diverge, and that is a beautiful thing.
Thank you to the person who made me realize that imperfection is charming and beautiful; that feeling drives one to be completely irrational.
Thank you to the person who endlessly brightens up my day, and whom I cling onto in times of need, as you do to us, and so many others.
Thank you to the person who allowed all this to happen.
Thank you to the person who stands at the sidelines, focused on their own life.
Thank you to the person who listens just as much as they ramble.
Thank you to the person who believes in me and has found love.
Thank you to the person who feels like a distant sibling and is always there as a friend.
Thank you to the person who is a guardian to our little “family”.
Thank you to the person who gives me constant reality checks, even if we make each other uncomfortable at times.
Thank you to the person who is so random it’s amusing.
And lastly, thank you to the people who believe in me.
