Chapter 265 out of god knows how many.

Jujutsu Kaisen was something you really loved as an editor, helping out Akutami-Sensei with things from grammar and handwriting to certain plot points and key dialogue. Of course, you didn't have a hand in whatever mad science he got up to in his, "story board room", but you worked with what you got.

    And then Shinjuku hit.

There came a point where you realized that Akutami's "story board room" was probably something that didn't exist, or was filled with pictures of his favorite characters and his typical messy handwriting on an index card. Clearly, most of his favorite characters were now muscular Megumi/Sukuna beating the crap out of everyone else. The fans were talking about it quite often these days.

You were no story writing savant but, as you looked upon your previous chapters and volumes with Akutami, it hit you: There was no plan. At all. All of these articles about 'why this plan works because of coincidence A, B, and C.' All of these articles about 'why dead character (typically Gojo) is foreshadowed to make a return.' It meant nothing because even Akutami hadn't thought that far in.

Jujutsu Kaisen hadn't devolved: The issue had simply become more obvious these days.

You held no ill will toward Akutami-Sensei. After all, the character deaths and big story moments he alone had written brought you great joy in seeing. both in the editing room and on the page. But while Akutami could make a big moment into a colossal one, he couldn't write a long story like Jujutsu Kaisen. So, while he explained to you chapter 266, you decided to brainstorm a full rewrite of your favorite passion project.

It was obviously too late to start fresh, due to how many chapters of Sukuna's pecs you had to sit through and the anime that was maybe maybe not setting up a third season, but if you could teach even a small lesson to Akutami, it'd be worth it.

"...and then, Itadori enters his domain, which I have drawn out as--"
