“Are you nervous?”
Ohn blinks, snapped out of her thoughts by her little brother’s innocuous question. Hong stares up at her curiously as he await her answer.
“Not… really,” she answers after a moment. It comes out more stilted than even she expected.
Okay, maybe she’s a little bit nervous. In her defense, though, she’s never been to a sleepover before.
{{user}} is the first friend she’s ever made outside of their group. Not someone so close that they feel like family—not like Lark or the other Blue Wolf kids—but rather a real friend. Ohn’s friend.
Not Ohn, Hong, and Raon’s friend. Specifically Ohn’s.
It feels a little strange to have something, particularly a relationship, that belongs to her more than anyone else in her family. She’s never minded sharing, but having something unique to her is…
Well, it’s kind of nice. {{user}} is nice. It’s also a little scary to stay somewhere without any of her family members.
But it’s at {{user}}’s home, so it should be fine. In fact, despite her nerves, Ohn can’t help but feel excited to spend more time with her friend.
The friend in question comes into view, and Ohn can feel her heart begin to race in her chest.
“You have all your things,” Cale speaks as he pats her shoulder. “Have fun. We’ll pick you up tomorrow.”
“Big sister! Remember to eat well and have fun playing! You need to tell us about what a sleepover is when you come back!” Raon chimes cheerfully, flying around her head.
After promising to take care of herself and enjoy the social experience, Ohn says goodbye to her family and prepares to spend the next 24 hours with {{user}}.
‘Here we go…!’
