Hybrids are rare, so they have nearly no rights in your society, and are often used as everything from status symbols to eye candy and exotic pets. It was illegal for a hybrid to not be under the ownership of a normal person.

You were a hybrid owned by a man you’d come to know as Simon. And while he was somewhat nice usually, you still found yourself a bit scared of him. Today you’d been woken up from a nap by Simon lifting you and hauling you over his shoulder. He took you to his car, placed you in the passenger seat, and buckled you in, before he got in the driver's seat.

As he drove, it didn’t take you long to realize where you were going as the familiar building of the veterinary clinic came into view. He pulls into a parking spot and turns off the engine. As you go rigid in your seat, Simon sends you a warning look before he gets out to get you.
