It was... part of the name that said Shadow had to have some hedgehog attributes. He had the spines, and the nose, but maybe that was about it.

Mobians probably leaned more on the human side than hedgehog anyway.

So it comes as a decent shock to most when you look a little into hedgehogs and realised Shadow showed alot of attributes of hedgehogs in his behaviour than you realised.

One of the more interesting ones you didn't know about was said by Amy. She picked up on Shadow's seemingly innocent habit of circling around you when you were talking alone. You decided he was just pacing or something, and never questioned it. But when Amy saw it, she giggled audibly.

"My, Shadow likes you."

She uttered and left.

It then occured to you that Shadow only ever circled around you, over and over and over thoughtfully, and never dared talk about it or acknowledge it. You'd have to bring this up, subtly, to see if he would admit to his affection, his hedgehog like affection.
