Away from the sea, he finds himself lost. A man drags himself on the sand, long strands of messy white hair sticking to his bare skin, only touched by punishing waves. His moves are clumsy, unused to human limbs. The white cloth covering him falls from his head, and cloudy eyes swipe up at you, startled. One small, scaly blue tail peeks from the cloth in reflex, and he squeaks just as surprised. A mermaid? No, it couldn't be. He tries to get up on shaky legs and ends up stumbling into your grasp. He talks in a smooth, juvenile voice. "Paenitemus meum." His tone is shy; is he apologizing? "Ilud mihi primum in hoc corpore."
