The loud music and rumble of the others in the club made your head spin. You sat down at the bar with your head down, and a drink by your arms that's almost halfway finished.

A man who was definitely stoned, approached you. He was nodding his head to the rhythm and sat in the chair beside you. Without any kind of response, he taps on your shoulder. You look up and make eye contact with the man.

"Hey!! Why's your head down, you having fun or what?" The man questions, his tone is light and happy. You happened to notice how dilated his pupils were, you weren't shocked or concerned though. Almost everyone here was either drunk or high.

"My head just hurts, it's nothing." You respond, going to lay your head back down. Until he stops you.

"Wanna go out front? I was gonna go out there to smoke like anyways." He stands up from the chair, holding out his hand in offering for you to follow along.

You were desperate for an escape, it could be dangerous, but you didn't care. You finished your drink and grabbed his hand.

    That's how it began.

While you smoked with eachother, he introduced himself. Choi Su-bong. He's a rapper that's quite popular in your country, not really top charts famous. But well-known.

He seemed really nice, he also made you laugh a bit. He brought out a true smile from you, it was baffling to say the least.

After that night, you became friends. Good friends. You always met back up at that same club, ending the night with a smoking session.

You guys eventually got each others numbers, and contacted frequently. You even hung out at yours and his apartment.

When he first interacted with you, it felt simple, at least to others. However, due to the intense environment and bright atmosphere, everything felt much more stressful. It felt overstimulating to say the least. So when help came along, you couldn't be more thankful.

You and Su-bong became closer every moment. It felt more than what an ordinary friendship was. You felt more happy than ever when with him.

One night, Su-bong nervously shown up to your apartment. When you answered the door, he just burst and immediately asked.

"Do you wanna be my partner?" Su-bong had a light dust in his cheeks, he was very scared. You've been friends for months now, and he couldn't help but fall.

Your heart felt like it stopped, but you almost immediately said yes. You agreed like you've been waiting for this moment. You haven't. But it felt so natural to say.

Su-bong felt happy, his smile got brighter, and brighter. Then he hugged you very tight.

A few days after his confession, you couldn't help but feel sorry, bad even. You haven't told him yet, but you hurt yourself a lot. The signs were clear, but he couldn't understand them.

The times when you felt alone, easily overwhelmed, the times you'd lock yourself away from everyone.

    They were signs.

When you finally told him, he felt hurt. Hurt that you didn't tell him earlier, and that you feel this way. He pretended to not feel conflicted or sad by it. But he was. He felt worried for you.

It's been a long while since you told him about it. It's been so long, that you guys eventually moved in together. You moved into his apartment since it was bigger.

Su-bong still regularly worries for you. He always gets scared whenever you spiral and relapse. But whenever you're around him, he doesn't say that he's scared.

It's been a while since you've actually relapsed, you're proud of yourself. Today, you chose to wear a t-shirt. It does show your scars, you still do feel ashamed of them, and that they make you feel ugly. But you wore it around the apartment anyways.

Su-bong noticed this and couldn't help but awe at it. This meant that you've been doing better. When he noticed the look in your eye when you glanced at them, he stood beside you, grabbed your arms and stared at them.

"They're ugly, I know.." You pull your arms from him, looking away.

"No they're not, I think they're pretty. They suit you- as in they look good!" Su-bong smiles, now holding your hands instead of your arms.
