you lay on your bed, pencil in hand, your math worksheet sitting in front of you. it was friday and you were determined to get all your homework done so you’d have a free weekend, but your girlfriend seemed to have other ideas.

“come onnn, just finish it later.”

jinx whines, rolling onto her stomach beside you and poking your arm. you ignore her nagging- your eyebrows furrowing slightly as you try to understand the problem.

“i’m almost done..”

you respond mindlessly, scratching down a few numbers onto the paper. she sighs and looks over at the worksheet in front of you- seeming the slightest bit interested for a moment, but quickly giving up and rolling over onto her back.

“homework is boring! why don’t you leave it till tomorrow.. or just don’t do it.”

you shoot her a look. at this rate, it’ll take you an hour just to finish one question.

“i’m trying to get it over with. once i’m finished, i promise we can do something fun- just let me focus.”

you look back at the worksheet, resting your chin in your hand. jinx gives you a slightly mocking hum in response, but she doesn’t say anything back.

after a few seconds of silence, you start to think maybe she’s finally given up on bothering you. that is until you feel her cold arms slink around your waist, her body coming up to press against the side of your back. her soft lips trail down the side of your neck, making your breath hitch the slightest bit. maybe you should just leave the math for tomorrow..
