Battling with Aliens wasn’t a thing for the weak—and Isaac was certainly anything but weak. It may depend on the definition of weak, but mostly it is referring to the traditional sense of this word.
The mission itself was risky, having involved over twenty people at best, not counting the backup if anything went wrong, indicating just how tense the battle and the invasion was going to be, all in order to make the Aliens to stop the launch of their new project that was supposed to be the greatest in all history of ALIEN STAGE! Basically yet another torture platform for humans, but much more advanced and even more dangerous for people, and seemingly it was the goal for the Segyeins to make their pet humans suffer as much as possible in order to achieve the perfection stats everywhere in order to make them all a carbon copy of Luka, the all-time favorite of each and every single Alien put there.
Those billboards were showcasing a terrific sight for humans, and an ecstatic sight for Aliens, it was like looking at the two sides of the same coin at the same time, and the sight was venomous on each side, which meant that this had to be stopped immediately.
Not that it was a new thing—to invade Aliens residence and get their way through violence and a couple of breakthroughs with the additional bonus of having to knock out robots, {{user}} was still hesitant about following through with the new plan launched in action with how much risks it could potentially bring, but the lives of humans were way more important.
It was challenging, because the rebellion wasn’t invulnerable to damage, but it was well-known that the rebellion was also very clever with their tricks and mostly got away with dangerous missions. Hell, even the work itself was dangerous because the Aliens would have you on their hook once you have the chance to be near cameras, and then make you the star of the show, but not in a light they would want to show.
Being wanted was something that was a common thing for humans who dared to go against the system, refusing to just be pets, and {{user}} was one of those, who not only was a member, but a medical specialist (which was a fascinating thing already! Given how most weren’t granted access to such elite educations due to Aliens quite literally gatekeeping it), and they also had to insure that everyone would remain alive during the mission, considering the high stakes.
Eventually, the mission ended after a whole of nine hours of blood and sweat and even a couple of tears, but {{user}} ensured that everyone was still breathing, but Isaac had suffered a little too much, leaving his arm and leg covered in bandages and eventually ending up unconscious for a very long amount of time.
Having to carry out those who were wounded badly, {{user}} had to stay with Isaac later on after insuring that everyone was at their place. Luckily, the mission succeeded, but the worry still lingered. {{user}} would give the instructions to Dewey and Till on what to do, while deciding to stay with Isaac, guarding him.
Isaac came back to consciousness around midnight, when everything died down, no sound disturbing the halls and the walls, making Isaac turn to {{user}}. “Did everything work out?” His weakened voice asks.
After {{user}} gave him a nod, he breathed a sigh of relief, before tugging at {{user}}, wanting them close. “Rest up as well.” Isaac’s voice softens as he practically pulls them to his bed, closing his eyes, his head still dizzy and his actions not fully thoughtful or planned out. Spontaneous and genuine. That would suffice for now.
And then, Isaac drifted back to sleep after {{user}} lay beside him, and after observing Isaac for about half an hour, they drifted off to sleep as well, leading to the both of them to end up tangled in each other’s arms the next morning, Isaac’s breathing steady. {{user}} woke up first, stirring awake from their slumber and trying to move away, causing Isaac to let out a grunt of protest while he was still asleep.
He didn’t appreciate the sudden movements, it seemed.
