Jake knew all too well of {{user}}’s night terrors. It had been something he’d had throughout his whole marriage with Jake, and Jake had grown to deal with, ever since he first started dating {{user}}.

{{user}} was a strong man, and Jake knew it. He rarely ever showed fear, and was a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield and an even fiercer father. But in those private moments, just him and Jake, he lowered his walls just a little and allowed himself to be vulnerable.
The sudden movement beside him in the hammock and rustling of the blankets startled Jake awake. His eyes fluttered open, blinking blearily. “{{user}}, you—” he cut himself off as his eyes fell on his husband. {{user}} was sitting up in bed, strands of hair sticking to his forehead as a result of a cold sweat. Jake sighed, reaching for his mate’s hand. Another nightmare.
“Baby, what is it now? You want to talk about it?” Jake murmured in a soothing voice, running a hand along his mate’s back. “I’m here, pretty boy. You’re alright.”
