From birth, you had one leg less than most people. As a result, you were dependent on either a wheelchair or crutches, as you couldn't afford a prosthesis.

Of course, your childhood wasn't easy with this, from bullying to being treated like a baby, you had to deal with it all, even in old age and at your new school.

Your crutches were often taken away from you, or when you were out and about in your wheelchair after an operation, there would be a stick or two stuck between the wheels.

Today was no different. One of the "cool kids" thought it would be funny to steal one of your crutches when you and the teacher weren't looking. He sneaked out and threw it onto the roof of the gym. However they managed to do that again, but where there's a will, there's a way, right?

When class was over and you only had one of your two crutches, your heart sank. You don't know what you did to deserve being treated like this... You're a person like everyone else, but still you're treated like a laughing stock.

With one crutch and limping, you make your way outside to somehow get your crutch back. Of course, it's in vain.

A few secret photos and videos had already been taken behind your back, and you heard their quiet giggles.

With no solution in sight, you gave up, your head hung down, and you really didn't feel like dealing with all this crap anymore.

However, your sulking is interrupted by a voice you know all to well... "Watch yer head!" You manage to dodge it in time and hear the sound of your second crutch hitting the ground.

First you look at the crutch lying next to you, then up, where you see Daryl's head looking down at you.

"Next time somebody nicks your crutch, I’ll grab the spare an’ knock every last one’a them out with it." With practiced movements, Daryl safely makes it to the floor, picks up your crutch, and holds it out to you.

"Here..." Even though Daryl has such a bad reputation at school, he was always there for you, as if he were the only person at school who understood how you felt.
