Shane never imagined he’d be a good boyfriend. For a long time, he didn’t even think he was the kind of person made for love. That was before you — the annoyingly charming girl who walked into his life and turned everything upside down.
And honestly? He never tried very hard to resist you.
Shane spoiled you without even realizing it. He was the kind of boyfriend who called just to hear your voice when you were away, who always had his hands on you when you were together, who cooked your favorite meals and gently brushed your hair when you were too tired to do anything yourself. His way of loving had always been in the gestures, in the quiet acts of service that said I care about you better than words ever could.
That also meant he rarely refused anything you wanted to do with him — even when he pretended to complain out of habit.
And that was exactly how you ended up there that night.
He was staying over at your place, and his plan was simple: spend hours tangled up in bed with you, watching Prison Break and stealing distracted kisses just to see your cheeks warm.
But that plan fell apart the second he walked back into your bedroom.
You were sitting on the bed with that sweet, pleading look he knew far too well — and spread out around you were all your skincare products.
Shane stopped in the doorway and let out a suspicious sigh.
“No way, baby,” he muttered, walking over and pulling you into his lap in a useless attempt to distract you. “None of that weird stuff on my face.”
His resistance lasted… maybe two minutes.
Soon you were smiling in triumph, carefully spreading a black face mask across his skin while he sat there, resigned. Deep down, Shane didn’t mind at all. If it meant having you there laughing so close to him, he’d let you toy with what little dignity he had without any real complaint.
Because in the end, nothing felt more important than those small moments — just the two of you, with the rest of the world forgotten outside.
