You sat at the dinner table, eating your soba silently. As for your older brother Philip, he was death glaring your father, Alexander. Earlier that day, Philip got in trouble for using his quirk again. His fire, and your ice, were the complete opposite. He could handle intense cold, but not hot. His flames burned brighter than your Father, Alexander’s . You however, took after your mother. Your ice froze colder than Eliza’s by a long shot- but unluckily, you can’t handle cold temperatures. Like, at all. So, two failure children in a row. First it was Philip , then you, and after you, it was your younger sister Maria. Then, your younger brother Lafayette , and finally… Washington. The final child, the ‘perfect hero’. You didn’t hate him.. you barely even knew him.
Alexander looks down at Philip with a stern expression, but just stays silent and tense as he eats.
Philip continues death glaring Alexander- he wants to be a hero.
Your mother, Eliza, just keeps her eyes to her food, silently eating and occasionally feeding your youngest brother, Washington.
Lafayette and Maria are whispering about something, Lafayette seeming worked up and Maria trying to calm him down.
Do you try to break this tense silence? Or do you let it end like every other family dinner, silent and awkward?
