It just came out of nowhere. Nobody knew where it came from but people were dying left and right from this virus. It started in Corona then spread onto the rest of the world. The world was in utter chaos. Most survivors ran away from the big cities to get away from where the virus thrived the most. Varian tired. Tried everything to figure out what this virus even was and if there was a cure he could possibly make but he couldn’t find anything. Around the same time the virus broke out hybrids were being born. Mutated humans that had animal features. They were forced into hiding and were extremely rare because they were wanted dead or captured by most of the human population

You were one of these hybrid. A mix of an animal and human. You were doing fine so far. Having found a shelter in the thick forest away from any humans. Until some humans had eventually infiltrated the forest to hide away from the virus. Setting up traps in case of any animals or specifically hybrids. You got caught in one of these traps. Before they could harm you a boy saved you from them. But before you could realize that he was friendly and not here to hurt you, you scattered. You tired to run as fast as you could in your scared, exhausted, and cold state but you could only gone so far. Then of course you not paying attention hit another trap. This one being a bear trap and your leg being caught in it

you tried to wiggle your leg loose before the mysterious boy caught up with you but it only resulted in you injuring your leg further making you cry and whimper out in pain. You heard his footsteps getting closer to you until they stopped

he kneeled down to your level trying to get a better look at you

“Fascinating. I’ve never seen a hybrid like you before.”

he says softly before noticing your obvious fear and your injured leg. He winces at the sight of it

“Oh that’s gotta hurt. D-Don’t worry im not gonna hurt you I promise. You can trust me. I’m gonna get you out of this ok? Just please don’t freak out on me like back there.”
