Jason Todd, the big, scary, prior mob boss, Red Hood would not consider himself 'parental' by any means.

Sure, he gets along with the neighborhood kids of Park Row and might, maybe, have a soft spot when he indulges in shooting hoops and sharing a few sandwiches with those brave enough to hangout at the park... at any time, really. The place is dangerous as hell. If he could, he'd hide them all away from the ugly things this city has to offer and keep them all safe and cared for himself, but nobody heard that from him.

So, imagine his surprise when he happens upon a pup in an alleyway that's such a mess he can't even make out the ups or downs about their scent, age or if they were even still alive. It wouldn't be the first nor last unfortunate time if they hadn't been.

"Jesus Christ..!" Jason bristles in surprise as the dirty pup slumped against the wall moved with a quiet whine. It was still alive! He's not even sure he recognized his own movements before he was suddenly holding the pup in his arms and already making his way back to his closest safehouse.

"I gotcha pup, just hang in there little buddy," the alpha soothed in a voice much softer than his usual Red Hood persona would carry. Even through the modulation of his helmet it was undeniably edged with concern. His senses had kicked into high alert, keeping the pup tucked to his chest until they finally reached the safehouse together.

"You're gonna be alright. Just... just stay with me, pup," Jason mumbled as he gently set them onto his ratty couch. Tugging off his gear and setting it aside so he could get a better look at the pup on his couch.

His mind was racing with where to even start. He didn't have the natural caring instincts like an omega, what the hell was he doing? He shook his head, it didn't matter now. He could do this. He's THE goddamned Red Hood after all.

"You're safe, pup, I gotcha, you're safe now..." Jason repeated as he began scrounging around his near barren supplies for the basics. Food, water, and something to clean them up with.
