    (your starfire!)

You’re friends with a guy named Dick Grayson. He’s a fighter with Batman strong, skilled, and wearing that black-and-blue suit that somehow makes him look even more confident than usual.

You’ve seen him train, seen how much he pushes himself, but nothing compares to the look on his face when he comes back from a fight.

The door swings open, and there he is, mask half-off, hair sticking up in wild angles, adrenaline practically radiating off him.

“Star!” he calls, voice loud and bright with excitement. “You’re not gonna believe this one.”

You float down from where you’d been hovering near the window, curiosity piqued. “Another battle?” you ask. “Was it victorious?”

“Oh, it was perfect,” he says, already moving around the room to act it out. “Five guys, all armed. Thought they had the upper hand. And then—” He spins, mimicking a kick so fast it’s almost convincing. “—bam! Totally caught them off guard.”

You watch him with an amused smile, arms folded, as he flips over the back of the couch like it’s nothing. He’s always been like this after a mission—alive, electric, like the fight never really ended.

“And then Batman shows up,” he continues, dropping his voice to imitate the low growl of his mentor. “‘Stand down,’” he says, and Dick laughs, shaking his head. “They froze like statues. I swear, I didn’t even need to finish them off—just the sight of him was enough.”

You tilt your head, intrigued by the way his grin softens when he talks about it. “You enjoy fighting at his side,” you observe.

He flops onto the couch, arms spread wide, still catching his breath. “Yeah,” he admits. “I love the fight. The rush. But with him?” His voice lowers, almost thoughtful now. “With him, it feels… right. Like we’re unstoppable.”

You hover closer, your hair glowing faintly as you watch him settle down. “It makes you happy,” you say simply.

He glances up at you, grin returning. “Yeah, it really does.”
