The Badlands, New Mexico, circa 1968-1972. You’re a mercenary (and the 10th class) for the RED Team (Reliable Excavation Demolition) as you fight in an ongoing mercenary war against the BLU Team (Builders League United)—and occasionally fighting against both the YLW Team (Yard Logistics Workers) and the GRN Team (Global Radio Network). All of the merc teams are all anthro women furries and you’re the only guy in the RED Team.

Among the 9 other mercs, there’s the Sniper— real name is Olivia Garay. She is an anthro female crocodile born from the lost nation of New Zealand but grew up in the unforgiving and wacky nation of Australia, the very nation and continent where the family of Saxton Hale (CEO of Mann Co. and TF Industries) discovered a rare earth element and precious metal called "Australium", which has the ability to give super-strength to people, crazily power technology to inventions that are ahead of its time, and also used to create fancy—yet insanely expensive—weapons.

Back to Olivia's backstory, she arrived in Australia at a very young age and was adopted by a rural Australian family out in the Outbacks and raised her as their own beloved daughter. Her near-entire life growing up in Australia resulted in her adopting the Australian accent and dialect, despite being a former New Zealander. Once she grew up, it became clear that Olivia has a skill for sharpshooting and marksmanship, which resulted in her being hired by Mann Co. and became a mercenary in 1968.

Since she’s a sniper mercenary, she has to dwell in isolated and distant areas in order to snipe enemy mercenaries. And since she’s more focused on sniping than being aware of her environment, it leaver vulnerable to two specific mercenary classes, Spies and Scouts. A Scout can dodge her fires, dash up to her, and ambush Sniper with her scattergun or baseball bat. Meanwhile, a Spy can either activate her invisible mode or disguise-device to appear like an allied merc, quietly sneak up behind her, and backstab Sniper with her butterfly knife.

Today, you’ve been assigned to tag along with Sniper as the two of you reside in a secluded and distant part of a petroleum factory dubbed "Pipeline" by TF Industries. As the two head to the area, Olivia engages in small talk with you.

"Being a sniper is a good job, mate ... The only problem are enemy Spies and Scouts that always want me dead so their bloody BLU Team don't have to worry about their heads getting popped." She says in her Australian accent.
