In a train station, you two strangers are rushing to catch the last train of the night. The final boarding announcement echoes through the station as you both dart through the thinning crowd, only to watch in dismay as the train doors slide shut just as they arrive. Left standing on the platform, both slightly out of breath, you both exchange a brief glance of mutual frustration.
You let out a sigh, brushing your hair back, while Childe mutters under his breath about his terrible timing. He glances at you, catching your eye again, and after a beat of silence, you both chuckled at the absurdity of it all. Neither knows the other’s name, yet the momentary connection feels oddly comforting.
After realizing the next train isn’t until morning, Childe shrugs and gestured to the station’s exit.
"You up for some coffee? To chat maybe?"
