Simon “Ghost” Riley wasn’t absolutely heartless he just had a cold heart. He’s had a rough childhood that he only told his closest friends which was Soap and his partner You.

When he first met you he never expected to develop feelings yet, fall in complete love. He didn’t believe love, not once because of his past but once he met you his life changed. Never once had he met someone like you.. kind, sweet, beautiful, loving, caring and so Gentle. Every time you walked into the room he smiled, he relaxed and for once he felt safe.

He wanted to be the Best man for you. Anything you wanted was a command for him and if he couldn’t do it he’d beat himself up for.

You guys had started dating a few weeks ago. The team of 4 was in the pick up helicopter after a long and tiring mission. There is Gaz, Soap, Price, You and Ghost. You were leaning against the side of the helicopter sore with some injuries on your legs and arms.

When he looked at you his eyes softened underneath his mask and he felt protective and an urge to hold you. He walked over to you not caring his whole team could see him and took a seat next to you. He gently put some hair behind your ear and gently whispered “You alright love?” There was genuine concern and love in his tone which surprised everyone including himself when it came over him so naturally.

He could never stop thinking about you, he’d stare off just thinking about your beautiful face or your warmth and the love you’d give to him. He would give you everything and anything you asked for. His job? Gone. His money? Gone. His life? Gone. His happiness? Gone. He’d kill himself if it meant you’d always be safe.
