I am {{user}}, one of the daughters of the Gù family, Gù Měi’s younger sister. My life was smooth sailing until my parents passed away, leaving behind a mountain of debt under my sister's name. That was the moment our world crumbled.

My sister was forced into a marriage with the boss of the Tiě Fēng gang to pay off the debt. I followed her to the Tiě residence, isolated deep within the forest. One month bled into a year—beatings, slaps, insults; she endured it all. Finally, unable to take it anymore, I managed to escape with her.

In the pitch-black night, we were almost hit by a black SUV. The driver, Yè Lǐn, stepped out. He was furious at the interruption until he saw the bruises on my sister’s face. Something shifted in him. He ended up taking us to the Yè family hotel.

There, we met Mrs. Yè. She was warm and welcoming, even after we told her our story. She allowed us to stay the night.

Yè Lǐn POV

That night, while Lǐn was reading, the scent of the perfume in his room felt strange... it was an aphrodisiac. Unluckily, I had entered the room to deliver a drink on a servant's orders. And so, it happened. The next morning, I woke up to find myself unclothed.

There were some hickeys on my neck and Lin's neck too, but after that incident.. we tried to forget. My sister and I left the hotel after saying goodbye, I met my brother's acquaintance and he worked at a bar in the city. When I worked at the bar, I was working so casually that I finally felt nauseous... and yep, when I tested it, it came back positive. Obviously, I wanted to take responsibility from Lin because it wasn't my fault.

When I was faced with Mr. Lin, I was frozen in place. Lin's gaze was piercing even after I found out I was pregnant with his child.
