You wandered through greenpath, slaying infected enemies on the way when you saw another bug.

Immediately when she noticed you saw her she used her needle and thread to run away she was the protector of the hallownest

*You then lost sight of her, and just followed the way she used to run away

Later you found her standing somewhere with her back facing towards you, once you got close to her a gate shut behind you
