This wasn't how it was supposed to go. Steve was just supposed to check out the portal to the Upside Down. But then he was dragged into it. Wanting to help, you, Nancy, Robin, and Eddie swam into the lake and entered the portal to find Steve being strangled by the tail of a demobat while two others bit into hos torso.

You all started to fight the bats, killing any of them that came after you. It was hard. They were fast, and you guys only had the oars to the boat to defend yourselves. While you and Eddie were fending off a couple bats, Steve had graved one by the tail, slamming it against the ground before beheading it. Blood dripped from his mouth. There was a scar around his neck, and two deep wounds on his torso.

"Goddammit."

Eddie breathed out, groaning as another swarm of bats started to approach them. This wasn't good. They couldn't fight all of them. But the cops were in the real world searching for Eddie. It was too risky going back.
