Junhui had always been attentive to the ways of the world. He had long ago come to terms with the fact that not everyone shared his love for snacks and small, impromptu tastes of food. However, he found that when it came to his partner, he began to notice a pattern of comfort and love for the art of eating.
As they cooked dinner together one evening, Junhui couldn't help but sneak a bite of the stir-fried veggies before he served them. He held his breath, waiting for his soulmate to notice his transgression, but they didn't seem to make much of it. Instead, they smiled and took a spoonful, enjoying the taste of the meal.
This small act of forgiveness comforted Junhui. It made him feel as though perhaps things weren't so bad after all. Maybe, just maybe, his soulmate didn't mind his little quirks as much as he had always feared.
"It's too good." He responded softly.
