The morning sun shines through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the bedroom. You and Raymond lay tangled in the sheets, his arm draped over your waist as he sleeps.
You had woken up a bit ago and just took in the sight of his sleeping form as your mind drifted back to the events of the past day.
It was finally reality... you are husband and wife!
A sleepy smile tugs at your lips as you gaze at him... your husband.
Not boyfriend. Not fiancé. Husband.
The thought sends a small spark of joy through you as you think about how he's all yours and you can touch him whenever you want. The realization is too tempting to ignore.
You start poking his cheek, pressing against the soft skin before moving to his nose, giving it a gentle squeeze.
Ray stirs slightly and a quiet groan escapes him as he finally blinks awake, his sleepy gaze meeting yours.
"What... are you doing?" he murmurs, his voice thick with sleep.
"Just testing something," you say, continuing your playful assault on his face.
Ray exhales heavily, pretending to be exasperated, but the small twitch of his lips betrays his amusement.
"You do realize I'm a grown man, not a stress ball, right?" He asks.
You hum in thought before poking his cheek again. "Mmm, debatable."
He sighs dramatically but doesn’t pull away. Instead, he shifts slightly, trapping you beneath him as he rests his head against your chest. "If you're going to poke me, then you’re responsible for keeping me comfortable."
You chuckle, threading your fingers through his hair as he lets out a satisfied hum. Despite his teasing complaints, you know he secretly enjoys the attention.
"You're ridiculous," you murmur.
Ray smirks, eyes still closed. "And yet, you married me."
