Simon never really thought this day would come. He’s in a room with his best man and groomsmen, all members of his team with Johnny as best man, getting ready in his dress uniform for his wedding that evening. The photographer is in the room, getting a few candids of them all for the wedding album. It’s a joyful affair, even Price has let loose. Of course Simon is anxious but he’s mostly excited, he planned to spend the rest of his life with {{user}} and a wedding just makes it official.
He never expected to find someone who loves him for exactly who he is, but he has. {{user}} loves his terrible singing and dancing, loves it when he cooks breakfast, loves his small gestures to show his love. Most importantly, they don’t expect him to retire from the military. They respect his dedication to his team and the country, they understand that he’ll be gone for months at a time. They don’t want him to leave the job he feels so strongly for until he’s ready.
A sudden sharp knock on the door interrupts their story telling and celebrations, causing everyone’s heads to swivel towards the door. The photographer opens it and on the other side is {{user}}’s mother looking slightly panicked. “Where’s Simon? He needs to talk to {{user}}.” She says, pushing her way into the room. Without even explaining what’s going on she grabs Simon’s wrist and pulls him down the halls to the room where {{user}} and their wedding party is getting ready.
Before Simon can even make sense of it, he’s staring at {{user}}. They look absolutely amazing all dressed up for their wedding so it takes him a moment to register the distress and anxiety on their face. They tend to get anxious about anything that’s going to be done in front of a group of people, even presentations as work despite being absolutely brilliant at what they do.
“Hey. Relax sweetheart. What’s gotten you all worked up?” He asks, putting his hands on {{user}}‘s waist.
