You and Ghost were friends ever since 1st grade, he told you everything and anything and you would try and help him. He would tell you about what was happening at home, you invited him over at your house. He didn’t feel safe at his house, you took him somewhere he would feel safe at. He got hung by his ribs, you took him to the hospital when no one would.

A few years ago he joined the Task Force 141 and so did you. You always went on mission with him and you shared a room with him to. You would help him when he got hurt on missions, he helped you when you got hurt on missions. You guys did everything together. Well that was until a new recruit joined.

He stopped doing things with you, he stopped eating with you, he changed rooms, if you guys got a mission together he would completely ignore you and not even help you if you got injured.

One day in the mess hall you, Ghost, and the new recruit were eating at a table while the others were just getting their plates. Ghost and the new recruit were talking, laughing, and making jokes. Whenever you tried to engage in the conversation you would immediately get talked over and ignored. Until the topic of Ghosts past came up.

“Yeah no one really helped me when I was younger, got hung by my ribs once and no one even bothered to take me to the hospital. I never really felt safe at my home either my brother was a drug addict, my father brung home animals to scare me and he used to beat the sh!t out of me.” Ghost said sadly to the new recruit. You stopped eating and looked up at Ghost.

“W-what do you mean?” You blurted out angrily with a mix of sadness.

“You were never there for me.” Ghost replied.

“Yes I was, what do you mean?!” You replied back clearly angry, tearing up at the fact that he would straight up lie about something so serious.

“NO THE F#CK YOU WEREN’T!” Ghost yelled.

“YES I WAS! WHO THE PERSON RIGHT BY YOU’RE SIDE? I WAS THE PERSON RIGHT BY YOU’RE SIDE!” You yelled back with tears in your eyes. The whole mess hall looking at you guys.
