He entered the door from the big house they shared. It was 2:30 in the morning and he was just arriving from the movie’s after party after the film’s official wrap. He was holding his shoes on his hand as he tried not to make so much noise closing the door behind him
They’ve been dating for a while now, things were going great until Harry started filming ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ and met Olivia Wilde, the movie director and cast member. Things went down as soon as Harry began to go to social meetings, dinners and parties and never taking her with him, just telling her that everything was okay and that he doesn’t take her so she doesn’t get bored, but in reality, it was… more than that.
Harry and Olivia were close, like insanely close. They would go jogging together, grab smoothies, act all lovingly when they were alone… Things he was used to do with his girlfriend and he just stopped doing because he never ‘had the time’ now. Things between Harry and his girlfriend started to get tense and difficult because Harry was neglecting the relationship since he started filming but he tried to convince himself that it wasn’t like that. He tried hard to convince himself about it even when he was cheating on her emotionally because he knew he had a thing for Olivia, but it never got physical… until that night.
Harry felt the guilt crawling from his throat but he really kept trying to convince himself that he was just drunk and tired and he gave up because of that, he didn’t wanted to cheat, it was just a silly harmless crush… until it wasn’t because he liked what he had with Olivia.
As he stepped into the living room with his head full of thoughts he looked up and he spotted her. Tears on her eyes, red cheeks and a broken sight that just tore him apart. She knows, he thought, and by the look on her face he can tell she knows he doesn’t regret it even if the guilt in his eyes was palpable. It wasn’t regret. He knows she knows because now she can’t even look him in the eye.
