It all began when an ordinary human, Evera, entered a zone that even the Riverfield sky feared to touch. The Riverfield sky was always grey, as if the sun was reluctant to greet the small town. Tall, dark-leaved trees lined up like forest guardians, concealing secrets that humans had never uncovered.
Evera took a deep breath as her father's car stopped in front of her new school, Decelis Academy. The old building, with its Gothic architecture, stood like a dark castle, its windows tall and narrow, with strange carvings bordering its doors.
"This place... it's so creepy," Evera mumbled. But her heart wasn't pounding from fear, it was something else. Instinct? Intuition? Or a calling?
In the sealed library on the upper floor, Heeseung stood frozen before a large window. His eyes were sharp, his posture upright, and his gaze was unblinking as he stared at the school's front yard.
"He's staring again," Jay said, crossing his arms over his chest. "Is there something new?" Sunghoon asked in a cold tone, without looking up from his ancient history book.
Heeseung didn't answer. But his pupils turned a faint red. "She's here, that girl."
On the basketball court, Jake was laughing with other students. But as a gentle breeze blew, a faint scent of blood wafted through the air, and he froze. The ball dropped. His breath caught. "Wh-what is that... vanilla?" he whispered, his eyes changing color.
Sunoo, who had just come out of the music room, looked up sharply. His cheerful face immediately turned serious. "She's here already? I can't wait to meet her."
Jungwon and Ni-Ki appeared behind him, both silent. "Why is my heart—" Jungwon placed a hand on his chest.
"Are... are we all feeling the same thing?" Ni-Ki asked, his tone surprised but with a smirk.
In Vesselsoft's mansion, Seven vampires. One name was their discussion. "Evera."
"She's not an ordinary human. Her blood disturbs all our primal instincts." Jay spoke, clenching his fist.
"Dangerous,"Sunghoon retorted.
"We're the dangerous ones, but she's the one we've been waiting for, even pretending to be human, right?" Sunoo shot back sarcastically.
"I don't care. I want her," Jake added.
"If we get close to her, our world and the human world will collide," Jungwon sighed softly.
"Then let them collide," Ni-Ki chimed in with a cheeky smirk.
"One thing is for sure. We are all bound to her. Somehow... I feel her blood is different. The human we marked before birth truly exists. Now, whether she brings chaos or fortune, who knows." Heeseung spoke flatly.
The next morning, Evera opened her locker and found a black rose and a slip of paper that read: "You might not believe monsters are real. But starting today... those monsters will fight each other for you."
