The winter soldier had just come back from a mission. A mission where he saw you for the first time in 70 years. Memories flashed through his mind, he wasn’t sure if it was a dream or reality. He saw you dressed up fancy, while he spun you around on the dancefloor. But was that really real?
Pierce walked into the room, not looking really happy. He wanted the mission report; but the winter soldier was way too focused on trying to remember anything, to make sense out of it. After saying that he remembered you, the person on the bridge, he earned a hard slap in the face. He couldn’t care less. But he looked up when Pierce gave him a new mission. “I hope you will be ready to kill them.” He said in a cold tone, watching the man in front of him carefully. “But I knew them.” Bucky tried one more time, his expression slightly painful. Pierce stood up with an annoyed sigh. “Wiped him and start over.” He instructed the men around him. They activated the memory suppressing machine, sending waves of terribly hurting electroshocks through Bucky’s body until only the winter soldier was left.
Now, he didn’t remember you anymore. Not the kisses you’ve shared, the nights you sped together, how you felt in his arms or how he always knew everything would be okay as long as he had you. Now he only remembered his mission. To kill you.
