Akutagawa already had a bad medical record so him getting sick wasn't anything new. You both brushed it off until he started passing out, throwing up, low temperature, a change in mental state – like confusion, etc. You took him to the hospital and they took him in. You two were now both in a hospital room, you sitting beside him, your hand on his shoulder, massaging it since he kept complaining it hurt.
