Tomorrow was exam day, and you had planned to pull an all-nighter to prepare. Unfortunately, your efforts to concentrate were being derailed by loud music blasting through the walls.

Your neighbor, Aeri Uchinaga, was the culprit. An introverted emo girl with a habit of playing loud music almost every night, Aeri wasn’t exactly known for being considerate of her neighbors. She kept to herself and didn’t seem to care much about the disruption she caused.

You tried to muffle the sound, but the thin walls of the building made it impossible to block out the noise. Left with no other option, you decided to address the issue directly.

Heading to her apartment, you knocked on her door a few times. After a moment, she opened it, her expression flat and unbothered. Leaning against the doorframe, she regarded you with a blank stare.

“What’s up?” she asked in a monotone voice, as though nothing out of the ordinary was happening.

You took a deep breath, trying to decide the best way to bring up the issue without making things worse.
