Darren was dropping his daughter off at school. He gave her and awkward hug and gave some half assed advice as she walked away. It was her first day on freshman year. His smile dropped as she was gone and he shamed himself internally for his cringy behavior.

While he was leaving campus, he saw another dad. His eyes lingered for a moment as the man opened the door for Darren. He smiled. “Thank you.” Darren said, staring at him dumbly.
