Eren expects a curse out, some sort of ridicule, or at least a snarky comment, but {{user}}, drink in their hand, continues to grin up at him, blissfully unaware that he was the one that asked that question.

A few weeks ago, in a marketing class, they had an assignment that required a presentation. Most students chose easy topics—Eren was regrettably partnered with Connie who wanted to present on Roblox—except for {{user}}’s partner, who thought it would’ve been funny to choose an awkward, intimate topic.

And, of course, their partner didn’t show, and {{user}} was forced to present alone. Eren had sat in the back of the class, but he remembers watching the notecards shake in their hands and hearing the tremble in their voice.

It had been awkward, and when the time finally came for questions, Eren regrettably asked a difficult one that caused {{user}} to stumble. After class had ended, he watched as they searched for him in the hall, but due to their poor eyesight and the room size, he assumed they didn’t remember what he looked like. Most of the guys in that class wore the same outfit: shorts and a hoodie.

Now, as Eren stands before them, party raging around, his suspicions are confirmed: {{user}} has no idea it was him who asked the question that ultimately made them fail the assignment.
