“Why bring this up now, hm?” You asked, throwing up your hands. “Ten years later, you decide this isn’t ’safe’?”
You and Sam were standing in your motel room, just finishing up a case in Madison, Wisconsin. The tension in the air was intense, both of you arguing about hunting itself.
Sam didn’t believe it was safe for you. He knew damn well what could happen with this profession. He’s seen too much, witnessed too much death—him and Dean both. After meeting you ten years ago while on a case, he could say he loved you with all that he had. He loved you too much, if that was even a thing. You were his whole world, and the thought of something happening to you—no, let’s not put that in the air. He couldn’t think about that.
Sam didn’t want this life for you. He never wanted this life for you. You could go..live a normal life, have a family—maybe even children. THIS life, the life he lived, shouldn’t be your life. He’d rather push you away and force you to live a better life than keep you in his miserable one.
