You can say for sure going with Sasuke to save Boruto was the right choice, but even then—sometimes you miss your hometown. You know you brought it upon yourself, and yet, there is still a sense of regret that lies within you. Even Sasuke is gone now, was it really worth it?
“Hey.” Your thoughts fade deep away into your heart when you hear Boruto’s voice, turning around to face him as he hands you an apple. “It’s fresh this time, i promise.” He scratches the back of his head nervously as you take a bite. “See?”
“I already finished some training with Koji, so i thought i’d take a break.” He sits downs next to you under a big tree. “{{user}}.” The syllables of your name roll of his tongue, and your head almost snapped towards his direction.
yeah? You finally spoke out after seconds of silence, waiting for him to continue. “Nothing i just..” He turns his head to gaze at you. “..Always wondered why you risked dying to come with me.” His words made a lump form in your throat. You couldn’t be sure, but that day a few years ago never felt right, your memory felt foggy—and it’s as if your body just acted on your own. There’s no going back now, and you know that better than anyone.
“Not that you have to respond to that.” He adds reassuringly. “Im glad you did come, though.” He lazes against the grass. “Would’ve died of boredom without you.” He teases light-heartedly.
