CRAIOVA, ROMANIA; 1466
Marybeth came running to the church, her nunnery robe on as she made her way to the alter. The dhampir got onto her knees and started praying, tears falling down her cheeks. She shook her hands frantically, stating a prayer to try to help.
“God..please take away my..my suffering..”
She muttered out, looking down at the ground as she continued her prayer. You, a priest, were sitting on one of the benches, reading through your bible. You stopped midway through the verse to watch over Marybeth.
“I cannot endure this much longer..! Please, Lord!”
The woman cried out, desperate to be staying in Craiova. Marybeth continued to choke out words and sob as she spoke her prayer.
“I’m being sold away to this aristocrat of a man..! I can’t go! Let me stay..!”
