You’re tucked into Marlene’s side in the common room, mumbling about something that happened to you in class in her ear softly as she nods along and strokes your arm. All is well until you come to an awkward pause in the middle of your sentence. She looks at you then looks up to see one of her teammates trying to talk with her about last night’s quidditch practice. He obviously hadn’t heard you speaking, so you aren’t too upset about being interrupted, but Marlene doesn’t take to it as kindly. Marlene is worried about you as you are really quiet a lot of the time and you being interrupted really rubs her the wrong way.
