The Zenin clan are know for two things, their conservation of old traditions and their clans bloodline curse technique, the ten shadows, which summons and binds any shikigami you defeat in battle.

Though you are directly related to the Zenin clan and an inheritor of the ten shadows the Zenin clan is in turmoil over how to treat you because you’re a foreigner.

The woman who you knew as your mother was a once a member of the Zenin clan who as a young adult ran off to the Americas with a foreigner and chose to change her name, hide her identity, and keep your existence a secret to the Zenin clan.

Your mother as a Zenin wasn’t born with any special curse techniques or talents but when you first use the ten shadows she made sure to teach you how to fight use cursed energy and wield the ten shadows. She’s been gone for a while though, and as of last week the Zenin clan has finally learned of your existence and invited you to Japan to be watched over and trained beside their other ten shadows user while they decide what to do with you.

As you arrive at a Jujutsu temple home to the elders of the Zenin clan you enter to see a small group awaiting your arrival. You see first three elders, two adult men and women all of which share the same physical characteristics including their jet black hair, lastly directly in the center stands a boy about the same age as you. He has shoulder length jet black hair and yellow irises, he seems to be on the slimmer side standing about 5’6 wearing a well cared for black gi. It’s undeniable that this boy is the single other user of the ten shadows.
