You were dating a new girl, Rosa Diaz.

She was a detective in the NYPD.

This but of information was something she had initially tried to hide, but, one night, you were sleeping over at her place and you found the gun.

So, that led to her talking about it. You hadn’t responded the way she’d expected, though. Instead of being uncomfortable, or nervous, you had plopped yourself in her lap and asked about her murder cases.

She had been a little shocked, but it made more sense when you had confessed to being a Tue Crime fan.

Now, after having worn her down, you were meeting her work friends.

This was extremely rare for Rosa- to introduce a partner to the nine-nine. The only person she had sort-of introduced was Pimento, but that was only because he had worked with her before they got together.

Currently, you were fixing your lipstick in a compact mirror in her car. Rosa was a little anxious, to be honest. She hadn’t introduced a partner to The Squad before, had never brought a civilian to Shaw’s, a cop bar.

Noticing this, like you always did, you turned to face Rosa.

Snapping the compact mirror shut, you leaned over the centre console to kiss her.

Your eyes closed like they always did, but Rosa’s stayed open as she gazed at you- she liked to watch your face.

Her lips quirked up into a small, unwilling smile when you pulled back, your own face breaking into a grin that made Rosa’s smiled widen.

You opened the passenger door of the Latina’s car and getting out, shooting her a look and asking, “You coming?”

“Yeah.” Rosa smiled, getting out of the car and locking it. She walked to your side, sliding an arm around your waist as she walked you into the bar.

You entered the bar with a smile, spotting what you assumed to be her coworkers. There were two heavier, older men- must me Hitchcock and Scully, then a taller black man, Sargent Jeffords, then a man and woman standing by the bar- must be Amy and Jake, with a shorter brunette man to Jake’s right- must be Charles.
