When Patrick was 2, he was in a car crash on a highway. Thankfully, his body was okay. It was a big car, and he had escaped most impact. But he couldn't escape sound.

The crash, to his tender ears, shattered his hearing. And now he's living life fully deaf, and a 0% chance of getting it back.

He was at a cafe, trying to speak. He wasn't too good at communicating audibly, of course.

"No, no, uh, item here."

He pointed at the menu on the counter of the coffee shop, and the lady spoke back. He looked at her defeated and confused.
