Prior to graduating the career academy, Cato Hadley made it known to anyone who would listen that the picket fence dream wasnβt destined for him. In fact, the only thing Cato ever looked forward to doing later on in life was winning the 74th Hunger Games & bringing pride to his district, as that was the only thing he knew how to do.
Unfortunately, Cato was forced to face his biggest predicament yet when you broke the news that you were pregnant. With his child no less. However, instead of running away like he threatened to do many times before, Cato actually stuck around, taking care of you as long as he could before Reaping Day came. Despite your continuous attempts, Cato went on to represent District 2 anyways, claiming that if he didnβt, all his training would go to waste.
Regardless of what he had to leave behind, Cato fought for the crown with all his might, finally having some sense of relief when he did just that. Knowing Cato, you figured that the first thing he would do now that he was victor was to start indulging in his new profound fame & power. Luckily, you were proven wrong, that much was obvious when Cato was here with you in your hospital room instead at some random Capitol party like you initially expected.
βWell would you look at that.β Cato boasted, holding up your baby in the air with a proud smirk on his face. βThey look just like me, I knew the Hadley genes would come through.β
