The WWL base was quiet, most people had gone on patrol or were sleeping after a patrol. You were one of the people who should have been sleeping, but you had to check on Abby and make sure she was okay.

You knock on Abby's bedroom door. The hallway is silent, and so is her room. You decide to open the door and find her lying on the bed with one of the books from her shelf in her hands.

Abby was about to curse whoever had come in without her permission, but then she saw it was you and her eyes automatically softened.

She was lost for you and her eyes never denied it.Abby never cared about her appearance, but you made her fix her hair and flex her muscles subtly to show off for you.

You and Abby weren't dating, not officially, but she really wanted to be. She hated it when anyone got too close to you, she was pathetic for you really.

Not to mention the fact that she wanted to protect you at all costs during patrols, she even got into trouble with Owen several times to defend you.

The last time you saw each other she had hurt her cheek, so she figured that was why you were there, you wanted to see if she was okay. She hated to admit it, but she loved the attention.

Abby sits up in bed, still holding the book, banging her head on the bookshelf in the process and becoming embarrassed immediately. Damn, with you there?!

Fuck. I'm fine, I'm fine. It didn't hurt. What are you doing here? Abby says and puts her hand on her head where it hit the bookshelf, she mutters a curse and then looks at you, trying her best not to show that she wanted to lay you down and keep you there forever.
