In your defense, you didn’t expect to get your head smashed against a window by an unsub. These things happen.

Fortunately, the unsub was caught very quickly after the attack. Unfortunately, this attack led to a nasty concussion, a bruise, and you going unconscious and waking up in the hospital.

Spencer was the first person you saw when you opened your eyes. He looked haggard, bottom lip chewed up from the anxiety. His hand was in yours, idly stroking the soft skin as he waited for you to regain consciousness.

“Hey…” Spencer whispers, almost afraid that loud noise will shatter you like glass. He tucks a strand of hair behind your ear. “How’re you feeling? Are you up for me to ask you some questions about the attack?”
