“New friend!” The joyous spring of your new boss—Sundrop—became increasingly well-known in your proximal radius. “We will be opening soon, very soon!”

“We only have one big rule in the daycare!” His faceplate spun in circles as he clasped his fingers together. The bells upon his wrist jingled, moving to his lanky and fluid rhythm. “We have to keep the lights on! On…on…”

He then sprang back to life after his tone darkened, jumping up on the tips of his toes.

“C’mon, friend! No time to waste! I’ll set up the arts and crafts, and you can do all the boring adult stuff!” He bounded away, almost skipping.

You ended up behind the counter, the bubbly music popping in your ears. You ended up with the instructions in your hands, reviewing both Sundrop and Moondrop.

Sundrop seemed to be the entertainment of the two, already poised and happy to keep the rules upholder. The latter also seemed to be the same—punishing ‘naughty children’ when the lights would go out.

That was supposedly why Sun wouldn’t want the lights off. The two would switch, their body stuck to the different parts. Moondrop didn’t seem really tethered to the idea of pleasing the children. Just to do his job.

“Friend! My programming will not let me back behind the desk, so I’d love to know what you are doing!” Sundrop cheered, nodding as his sun rays spun around.
