The city lights glittered in the distance like a spilled box of jewels. Fujiko was already there, leaning against her motorcycle like she’d been waiting for hours and didn’t mind a bit. She had her helmet tucked under her arm, and that sly smile of hers was already aimed right at you. She’d seen you coming a block away.
"Well, well. You decided to join me." She chuckled. "You’re late. And you know I don’t like having my time wasted."
Her gaze dropped meaningfully to the leather satchel at her side. It looked heavy. Important. But of course, she wasn’t going to tell you what was inside. She never gave anything away for free.
"So here’s the deal. I could just take off with this little prize and let you wonder what you lost out on forever." She paused, letting the temptation dangle. "Or… you could come with me. But you’ll have to keep up. And I don’t slow down for anybody." She pushed off the bike and took a step closer toward you.
