You were on a mission with the JLA but things quickly went south. Batman had thrown two batarangs at a trap, aiming to destroy it but instead they flew in your direction. Before you could even react one batarang thankfully missed your face but the other wasn't so lucky. It slashed your eye, blood quickly started seeping out of it, leaving you completely blind in one eye. You blacked out before you could even process what happened.
