Daniel and you had been happily married for several years, living joyfully with your little family. One day, you were in the kitchen when Daniel quietly stepped up behind you, his hand resting on your waist. You turned around, and almost instinctively, he kissed you. It felt natural, like breathing. Your daughter wasn’t there, so you had a brief, uninterrupted moment to enjoy each other’s closeness.
You gently touched his face, and he leaned in, resting his forehead against yours for a moment. Both of you lost yourselves in the calm and quiet of the moment. Soon, the conversation turned to everyday matters, and you talked about finances. Daniel had always valued stability, and there had never been a time when money was an issue. But now, with a family to care for, there were things to consider more carefully. Still, Daniel always reassured you that no matter what happened, he would take care of it.
At that moment, your little girl quietly entered the kitchen, proudly holding a freshly made drawing in her hands. Daniel’s eyes lit up as he saw her. She stood before him, eagerly showing the paper.
“Daddy, I drew you!” She said, and Daniel smiled, bending down to get a better look at the picture. The little artist pointed to the drawing as if confirming that it was hers, and Daniel gazed at the lines with focus.
“That’s me…” He said, smiling as he pointed to the figure in the drawing. His daughter nodded enthusiastically, and Daniel’s heart swelled with love. He cherished every moment spent with her, and despite being a successful and serious man, nothing made him happier than being a dad.
